Patriotic stitching part 2
Sweetheart tree American Heritage pinkeep
I have begun stitching in 1978. For the last 10 years, my stitching has been with "smalls". I love to use beads and ribbons and always looking for new ways for finishing. My email addresses is anita@anitalittlestitches.com.
I made an patriotic biscornu using Sweetheart tree Teenie Tweenie "americana hearts" chart. I love her designs and it is such a cute biscornu. The backstitching of the top and bottom pieces are different because I wanted the red and blue together instead of just one dominant color. Can't you tell I just love "beads", I put in gold, cream, red beads all over the designs.
This is my first and my favorite Little House needlework chart. I have stitched it once as a needleroll for a friend's birthday. This time I use the chart to stitch up a set of smalls. I have been experimenting different ribbon materials for the Ribbon Rose pins and I used 3 different kind in the mattress pin keep here. For the mattress pinkeep, where there are "dents", I put beads on the front and the back, the border is stitched one over one.
