Anita's Stitching

I have begun stitching in 1978. For the last 10 years, my stitching has been with "smalls". I love to use beads and ribbons and always looking for new ways for finishing. My email addresses is anita@anitalittlestitches.com.

Workbasket and Just nan biscornu

I did not get to my Valentine heart stitching but I did manage 2 biscornu. I have done the stitching for the Workbasket Acorn one in last November but I just did the finishing this week. The Just nan biscornu is from Gingham Quilt chart and I have changed a few colors on it. These biscornu are bigger in sizes. My favorite are small stitch counts like between 40 - 50.

Thank you so much on the compliment on my rose heart scissor fob. I will not have access to computer for about one week and I will have an update on next Friday or Saturday. Have a great week.

A one over one scissor fob for ME

I am still trying to beat the clock to squeeze in more Valentine theme stitching. I still have 2 small heart patterns that I have picked to stitch. I just finished a french design and the designer is Atalie. I used Vicki Clayton silk "wine" and stitched it one over one. I have heard so many great things about Vicki C silk and decided to give it a try. I love it. At the back of the fob, I used Sajou Alphabet from the freebie site. I always like to use Perle cotton #3, or #5 for my cording.
I added some Mill Hill petite gold beads to front and back as well.

Shepherd's Bush girl

I have found 2 old Shepherd's bush designs, a girl and a boy. They have the same color themes but in 2 different publication with Leisure art before they become rich and famous. I stitched them in different fabric, one has beads and one does not, the wreath is not the same but the rest are very similar. I have stitched the girl, and I will stitch the boy version in March.

Valentine Heart Biscornu

I had big plans for stitching Valentine theme projects. But they did not work out on time. Here is a very pretty Sweetheart tree design, Hearts and flowers. I have made a few changes with the chart and I got carried away with putting beads on. I love Seetheart tree designs and lots of their Teenie Tweenie and Teenie kits designs are perfect for Biscornu. You have to be very patient with her backstitching, and it can be very frustrating at times.

I hope everyone had a great Valentine. Thank you so much for commenting on my blog and I love to see new names/faces.

I just love the Beads effect on this piece, don't you?

Perwinkle Promise Bouquet Accent Sampler

I have bought a few of the Perwinkle Promise accent samplers kits over a few years. I just love the design but I have never stitched one. Here it is my first one, it turned out so pretty and I love the speciality stitches. I have tried to make the tassel for over one hour yesterday and gave up. I used some beads around the four corners instead. This is my first time trying the spider rose stitch and it turned out so pretty. You will be seeing more of this designer all through the year.

2 more biscornu

I looked through my Shepherd's Bush designs and stitched these two. I motified the colors on the pillow flock one and I used buttons on the center of the biscornu. I am going to move onto some Valentine stitching or some French designs in this month.
