Cherished Stitches Christmas Bouquet

This is my first Cherished stitches piece. I enjoy stitching this piece a lot. I changed a few things with the original chart.

For the next 2 months, I will be stitching christmas theme projects. My worst part is finishing. I wish there is a finishing fairy somewhere here for help.

My digital camera is having some problem so I can't take pictures of some great birthday gifts that I have received after my birthday. Debra M in Michigan sent me a gift certificate for the Attic eedlework shop. I have not decided deciding what to get yet. Cathy C in Ohio made me a set of beautiful needlework smalls, a fob and a scissor holder. Susan in NJ sent me 2 packages, the JN Hershey exclusive and frame, Just Witchy, a halloween design, Elegant Stitch Esmeralda's friends exclusive kit for October, the new limited Whitman's tin can and the chart, DMC floss, Kelmscott thread rings, a thread winder, and Gingher Cheetah limited edition scissor. Thank you so much for thinking about me on my birthday.

San Man Original Trick or Treat Candy Roll

This is such a cute design for the Halloween. I have this for a while now and it was a Freebie by San Man Originals. The backstitching was so time consuming. I will finish this as a needleroll or a pillow. Have a great Halloween.

The mistake on the Noel piece was on the row of "Noel", the branches should be green and the beads should be red.

My blog is stuck..

something was wrong with it this morning and I don't know how to fix it... help... finally, it fixed by itself.

I have to delete my early post of Carol Tinson Noel and I have to repost it again. Sandra, and Karoline comments got deleted from the post as well, sorry.

This blogger system can be very frustrating at time and there is no "technical help" for this site to answer questions promptly. I don't like to go through BB to seek.

Here it is, I finished this christmas piece last night. I have made 2 mistakes on it and am too lazy to fix it, can you all tell? I will reveal the mistakes in 2 days. I am going to finish it as a needleroll. I have made a few changes in the colors and the size as well.

A christmas theme freebie

Christmas is getting closer so I picked this Workbasket Quaker Holly to stitch. I added the beads. I have 2 more halloween freebies that I am stitching but they are taking longer, hopefully I will finish before the month ended.

Thank you for all the get well wishes for my son. He is doing better now. He is always a healthy baby and kid. In August, we put him in a church program called Mother's day out twice a week so he can spend some time with other kids and learn something. The problem started where he kept on getting sick almost every other week. The director told me this is the way kids develope their immune system. He is better now but once he goes back to the program, he will get new germs again, it is like a endless cycles.

The stitched Biscornu

This is a workbasket pattern. I used the new varigated DMC floss Autumn thread for the middle leaves and the alphabets. The second piece, I stitched the leaves with the Autumn thread again one over one. I need to find a button in the middle and I have not had time to shop or going through my stash to see what I have.

Life has been very hectic

My son has been sick for a while, over 3 weeks, with a very bad cough. We have been to the doctor office twice in the last 10 days. His cough was so bad that I am afraid that he is going to end up a big hole in his lung. The doctor is experimenting various things at this level. I feel so tired and exhaused without a good night sleep for the month of October so far.

I have not been stitching much. My finishing is not doing any better either. I don't have all the buttons or supplies that I want to finish the ST set or this biscornu. Here is pictures of the stitched biscornu, I still have not decided on the buttons to use yet. The blog is not cooperating with pictures posting now, so I will try to post the pictures in a little while.

A great find at Joann's fabric store

Sorry about the "glare" in these pictures. I am trying to organize my craft room. I went to Joann's store on Monday and found this neat bead storage gadget. I used my 50% coupon and it came out about $10 plus sales tax. It comes with 2 compartment of beads that I really don't have too much use for. It has 4 compartment with lids on and they are perfect for me to
store charms, beads and small stitching items. I love it. I have another 50% coupon for tomorrow and I am going to get one more. I just can't beat the price and it is great. If you are at Joann's, take a look at it. The beads showed on the top are the beads that come with the storage.

Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Pumpkins

Yes, I am in the "Pumpkin" mood. I browsed through my pumpkin charts collection and picked these Sweetheart tree designs. I am going to finish them as a set. I have some autumn/Pumpkin needleroll patterns from other designers that I need to look through and decide what I would like to stitch as well.

I have not put beads or charms in any of these pieces yet. Here they are:

Sweetheart tree pumpkin heart that I am going to make into pinkeep:

Here is the scissor fob, front and back:

Here is the proud little pumpkin that I want to finish it as a biscornu:

I love the Sweetheart tree designs but you need to have the patience and love of backstitching.

Prairie schooler snowmen

These snowmen are from the new leaflet "Christmas Day". They are so much fun to stitch. I was not a Prairie Schooler's fan before, the more I saw the designs being stitched, the more I like them.

I am not going to set any goals for the month of October. I am going to finish some WIP and continue with my Fall stitching theme. I am going to try a new finishing, "Biscornu". I am in the process of stitching it now.
