Anita's Stitching

I have begun stitching in 1978. For the last 10 years, my stitching has been with "smalls". I love to use beads and ribbons and always looking for new ways for finishing. My email addresses is anita@anitalittlestitches.com.

August Freebie

I have this Cricket collection freebie for a long time. I finally decided to stitch it this month. I never like birds that are "Black". So I changed the colors. I did 2 versions of the birds. I am going to finish these as fobs. I like the Fall theme and too bad in the Houston, Texas area, we really don't see a season change.

Angi birthday needleroll

I modified one of the Sweetheart tree designs "kindness and love" and made it into a Needleroll for Angi's Birthday. It always takes me a long time doing the "name" and "the centering". Angi is a very talented stitcher that I know for years and she lives in Italy. I don't think she has a needleroll yet, so here it is. Happy Birthday, Angi.

Lizzie Kate Merry Ho Ho

This is my 11th Santa. I stitched it in a light blue fabric instead of the recommended one per the chart. It turned out pretty cute. I have not decided what Santa pattern to stitch next. I am thinking about Prairie Schooler one. I am enjoying this Santa Sal because they are so many great patterns around to choose from.

Wonderful Gifts from Susan NJ

Susan has sent me these wonderful gifts over the last few weeks.
The mesh bag is wonderful. She made the beaded fob
with my name "Anita" spelled in between the beads. The Bird
threader is from Bloomworks and it is so pretty. Thank you
so much Susan for being so thoughtful.

Sweetheart Tree Teenie Tweenies Heart 1

The name of this chart is September Strawflowers. Sweetheart tree
is one of the designers that I love since I first started stitching in 1988.
I enjoy stitching her designs but you need to have lots of patience
with the backstitching. They can be such a pain. I will be stitching more
of this series in this month.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving me comments. It meant
a lot to me.

JBW Friendship blossom pinkeep

This will be a gift for a stitcher friend in Australia. I enjoy stitching this little design and for a change it will arrive there before her birthday. Happy B-day, Maralyn. She does not know I have a blog yet, so I can post here.

Lizzie Kate 2006 Santa

This is a new Lizzie Kate chart named Just be Claus. I thought it would be a very quick stitch but the red and the white part seemed take forever to do. I left out the words and this is my 10th Santa finished.

August Stitching Plans

I have a few of my son's stitching that I have to finish.
They have been UFO for some time now. .... his birth sampler,
his christmas quilt and a stoney creek stocking. The birth sampler
only needs all those vitial info charted and stitched.
The stocking need backstitching and some stitching.
Stoney Creek designs can be a lot of work. His 25 squares
christmas quilt is always changing. I can't make up my mind
as far as what designs to use. So far, I have stitched 18 squares
and center piece M will be some type of Quilting design. I have
6 more squares and I am thinking about using some of
the 2006 Lizzie Kate ornament designs.

I still have a few gifts to stitch. I will be stitching
some sweetheart tree Teenie Tweenie hearts,
2 Lizzie Kate Santas and whatever else will
fit into the schedule.
